Really nice family owned guesthouse. Our hostesses Monica and Marinella were really friendly and welcoming and supportive with all our arrangements during our visit at La Digue. We intended to stay for two nights but extended our visit to a week. We got excellent breakfasts and the best creole dinners during our stay. The room is clean and the service was great! I was celebrating my 60th birthday and they made a surprise breakfast with chocolate cake and sparkling wine, fantastic! The place is situated in the center of the island and you can easily reach all the beaches by bike. If you are looking for a authentic guesthouse with nice room, bathroom and your own veranda this is the place for you.

My husband and I stayed here for four nights at the beginning of August. We choose Benjamin's based on the previous detailed review below which was 100% spot on! Therefore, I will not be repetitive. But I would like to say that it was really Maria the kind lady who cooks the breakfast and basically is the one on site to greet you upon arrival that made our stay one of the best guesthouse (bed and breakfast) stays we have every had inside and outside of the US. She was cheerful and attentive but made you feel right at home. Her breakfasts were out of this world just as the previous review mentioned. Each day we had a different speciality bread and local jam ( home made crossiants, banana bread, banana cake, and Calou cake). Also each day we had a local fruit juice as well as assorted fruits such as jackfruit, passion fruit, watermelon, papaya, mango, banana, etc. She provide toast, eggs cooked to order, and yogurt. We asked her niece Juliana to cook two meals for us. These meals were the best two meals of our two week trip in the Seychelles. For only 23 euros each we ate like kings with a three course meal of such large portions it could have been for four. The first meal we saw Juliana begin preparing at least two and a half hours ahead of time. She was out in the yard scaling the large fish with a large knife. She grilled the jackfish to perfection and put it into a ginger sauce. Also we had another fish dish of a more delicate fish that was cooked in combination with local mixed vegetables. We made local cucumber salad as well. Dessert was crepes with papaya jam. I had asked to have a dish made with local eggplant for the next evening. She asked how we felt about eating shark head and I had no problems with it knowing that the head is always the tastiest. She made a local shark head curry that always includes eggplant. We had broiled breadfruit per my request that just melted in my mouth. She also made a bonito fish steak dish with tomato and local lemon -amazing. This was accompanied by a golden apple cutnney- incredible! Dessert was a the best banana mousse I have ever had. We not only eat well but spent time getting to know both Maria and Juliana. We were so sad to say goodbye. Juliana even came down to the pier to bid us farewell when we departed. When we return to La Digue we will definately stay at Benjamin's provides Maria and Julianna host us!

Very nice little guest house, close to Anse Source d´Argent. Rooms are not big, but fully equipped. Very friendly staff, excellent cleanlyness and freshly made banana-cake for breakfast ;). Breakfast was the best we had on our trip to the seychelles. We were even invited to a private birthday party. We had an great time there. Good worth for value for the seychelles.
